Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, also known as Izmir Adnan Menderes Havaliman in Turkish, is a major international airport serving Izmir, Turkey's third-largest city, and the majority of its surrounding region.

The D.550 highway, which travels through Selçuk and Aydn on its way to Gökova in Mula, passes by Izmir's main airport.

After the completion of the new international terminal in September 2006, Yakup Hazan Architecture's new domestic terminal debuted around March 2014. It replaced the old air base, which is now primarily used for military purposes.

Due to the lack of a dedicated taxiway for runway 16R/34L, the two runways at ADB, 16R/34L and 16L/34R are not used concurrently. However, runway 16R/34L remains operational as a backup if the main runway is closed for maintenance or otherwise unavailable.

A parallel taxiway, entrance taxiways, and aprons for passenger and cargo aircraft and de-icing were built to improve the airport's capabilities. The existing entrance taxiways have also been renovated.

It is ranked fifth in overall passenger traffic (after Istanbul Airport, Antalya Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and Esenboa Airport) and fourth in domestic passenger traffic (behind Atatürk Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and Esenboa Airport).

In 1987, it made its debut. It is the hub for SunExpress, Pegasus Airlines, and Corendon Airlines. It is named after Adnan Menderes, the Turkish prime minister from 1950 to 1960.
